Just How Do I Become a Member of VBC?

If God is leading you to become a member of VBC, there are some things you should know.

• We encourage anyone who is contemplating joining our church to set up an appointment with the Pastor so that you can ask any questions you might have and so that the Pastor may get to know you.

• You may become a member of VBC in one of three ways:
  1.  by baptism (immersion) as a true believer in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior
  2.  by transfer of your letter from another Baptist church of like faith and practice
  3.  by your statement of faith, that you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and have been baptized by immersion

• Anyone sixteen years of age and above who is seeking membership in VBC is required to attend a New Members Instruction class before membership is finalized.  This is a very informative class in which you will learn exactly what our church believes and what we expect of our members.
